It has been confirmed by the British Board of Boxing Control that Sheffield boxer Tyan Booth has had his licence suspended with immediate effect following tweets made in relation to the death of boxer Scott Westgarth on Monday.

Westgarth passed away in the hospital just hours after his victory against Dec Spelman at the Doncaster Dome on Saturday night, it was confirmed on Monday morning that Westgarth had died. Booth then took to Twitter the same day to post the following tweets that have angered many around the boxing community.

Booth fights out of Dominic Ingle’s gym in Sheffield, the trainer himself has responded to the tweets calling them inappropriate and that the boxer will be dealt with by the gym as follows.
