In an action-packed night of boxing at York Hall, Bethnal Green, London Frank Warren’s stable of prospects, Anthony Yarde, Daniel Dubious and Zelfa Barrett all put their unbeaten records on the line as they looked to progress their careers further.
Zelfa Barrett Vs Ronnie Clark
In a thrilling contest, Ronnie Clark caused an almighty upset against heavy favourite Zelfa Barrett, from the off a very game Clark took the fight to Barrett and brought a relentless pressure and high work rate that Barrett was never fully able to get under control, in the 6th round Clark dropped Barrett hard with a right uppercut and Barrett did very well to survive the round and recover to go the full 12 rounds.
Despite some very flashy work from Barrett in spurts over the 12 rounds, it was the aggressor Clark two judges preferred as they both returned scorecards of 116-111 after 12 rounds of boxing, the other judge had it a draw 114-114, handing Clark a majority decision victory, while deserved the 116-111 scorecards were too wide and the fight had appeared a much closer contest. Clark picked up the IBF East/West Europe Super Featherweight title in the process.

Daniel Dubois Vs DL Jones
Despite a messy opening round, Dubois began to find a home for his right uppercut in the second, however, he was faced with a tough and resilient jones who managed to take Dubois into the third round for the first time in his professional career, but towards the end of the third round Dubois unleashed a barrage of punches with Jones on the ropes, dropping his opponent and forcing the referee to step in and wave off the contest.
Result: Daniel Dubois wins by Technical Knockout in round 3
Anthony Yarde Vs Tony Averlant
Light heavyweight prospect Anthony Yarde continued his journey with victory against French opponent Tony Averlant, in a fairly subdued first couple of rounds where neither fighter took control of the contest, however, Averlant was able to have some success, through rounds 4-5 Yarde began to slowly break down his opponent and in the 6th dropped his opponent twice with a body shot, while the Frenchmen did well to get up and continue at the end of the 7th round Averlant’s corner had seen enough and pulled their man out of the contest.
Result: Yarde wins by retirement in the 7th round
In other results rising heavyweight Nathan Gorman crushed French heavyweight Morgan Dessaux inside two rounds, a very easy night for Gorman against the 4-1 Dessaux who now moves to 4-2 while Gorman moves to 12-0 with 10 knockout victories.
Boy Jones Jr continued his winning ways since suffering his first and only career defeat to Craig Poxton last year, he won every round on his way to outpointing Reynaldo Mora
