The BBBofC have ordered Joe Joyce v Daniel Dubois for the vacant British heavyweight title. If a deal cannot be agreed, purse bids will be called on April 10th.

Dubois is coming off an impressive Round 2 KO of Razvan Cojanu. He also took a unanimous decision over experienced veteran Kevin Johnson in October last year so maybe now is a good time to step up. Dubois is scheduled to fight Richard Lartey at the end of April so a fight with Joyce will likely be mid to late summer.

Joyce is coming off a one sided beat down of former WBC World Heavyweight Champion, Bermane Stiverne. Joyce stopped the Haitian in 6 rounds, showing an impressive engine but maybe not the explosive power we have seen from Dubois.

It remains to be seen if promoter Frank Warren will want the fight at this stage for Dubois. Never the less the BBBoC want it after Hughie Fury vacated the title earlier this year.
