Rising star Ryan Garcia will make a significant step up in levels as he takes on two-time world title challenger and Olympic gold medallist, Luke Campbell. The winner takes home the WBC Interim world lightweight title.

The ring walk is planned for 11pm UK time, and is available to watch on DAZN app (available for £1.99 a month here) and will take place at the American airlines center, Dallas, Texas.

Garcia at 22 years of age, appears to have the world at his feet, speed, power, and skill accompany a social media following of millions as the popular Mexican- American gets the opportunity to announce himself on the world stage this Saturday night and further his fan base.

The only question really to answer here is can ‘King Ry’ step up and produce at world level against an experienced and world level competitor in Briton Luke Campbell, can he emulate what we have seen so far against such an opponent, while Garcia is still green, the potential is there for all to see.

I think Ryan Garcia will make the step up this weekend, while Garcia is still a work in progress and has flaws, I do not believe Campbell has the style to exploit them. While Campbell has never been stopped before and has been in with elite opposition, I am not ruling out Garcia making a statement of intent here and stopping the Olympic Gold Medallist.
